The Concert Had It All in Costa Hall

To celebrate our week we gathered in Costa Hall
The performances were stunning, the concert had it all
Every ensemble performed at their best
Family and friends were left most impressed
We renamed the ensembles to honour past committee
A specially written Finale by Dr Malcolm John was pretty
The GSMC 2010 was such a great success
Our president described it as FANTABULOUS!

Day Four Sun and Elective Fun!

The sun was out and things were bright
Last day of rehearsal for our big night
We all gathered for the elective show
Rockin’ the Suburbs even had the oboe
The final polish went on all the pieces
The final rehearsal ironed out all the creases
Tomorrow we’ll showcase it all in Costa Hall

Day Three Singing and Quality Rehearsing

Day three started off with some singing
Then a balanced day of tutorials and rehearsing
The Noble Band is developing their style
A Pilgrim’s Swing and the Army of the Nile
Morrison Singers rehearse All Night, All Day
The Chronicles of Narnia, the Claremont Strings will play
All the Electives are now ready for the gig
Exciting performances, it’s going to be BIG!

Day Two Thrills and Circus Skills

Rehearsal’s are now cracking along
Music sounding great and nothing’s going wrong
We started to rehearse our grand finale
The girls sounding beautiful, the boys sounding gnarly
Elective groups are nearly ready to go
The main ensembles are preparing for the show
The circus skills are quickly developing
Balls, scarves, diablos and very cool juggling!

Day One is Done!

GSMC 2010
got off to a good start once again.
The rain didn’t really get in the way,
with quality music we started to play.
Electives: a chance to try something new,
with circus skills, swing dancing, school of rock too!
