A Concert of "Stars"
Celebrating “Music of the Planets and Stars,”
With percussion, winds, strings and even guitars!
The colour theme this year was simply green and blue,
We had ‘Little Shop of Horrors,’ ‘Men in Black’ and ‘Star Wars’ too.
A highlight of the concert was the Heather Tetaz strings,
Memorising notes, they played in pitch black, flashing rings.
GSMC, renowned for quality and fun,
This year the grand finale was ‘Here Comes the Sun!’

Hot Hot Hot in 2014
It’s mid January and it’s that time of year
When the sound of young musos ‘cross Geelong you will hear
This year was no exception but the weather was extreme
The kids and the tutors battled on through the steam
To produce in the end a superb finale sound
With a quality of music from the best kids around
Our conductors worked them hard, with icy poles as a treat!
The end result: extraordinary, our week was now complete.

Year of the Voice II
Year of the Voice 2
What more could we do...
Paul Jarman was back and the choir was strong
Most ensembles responded by singing along
Many GSMC regulars say “Best Concert Ever”
The choice of some classics from Conductors was clever
But to top it all off was a Paul Jarman finale
“Let go the Long White Sails” was gnarly!

2012 was the Year of the Voice, the committee’s so happy for making this choice!
2012 was the Year of the Voice,
The committee's so happy for making this choice!
Jarman's finale created energy galore:
We heard all campers sing and the audience roar!
Some were much younger but by no means less skilled;
Ten year olds in senior strings had the audience thrilled.
The tutors and conductors displayed passion, and cared,
Strong friendships and music were developed and shared!
Another superb year!
Congratulations to all involved!!
See you next year...
